The Ciccarellis : Family : Vermont

This weekend I got to meet this little guy.  Oh so adorable, as was his fuzzy friend.  Little babies and dogs, something I sorely miss as we no longer have either in our house.    Thank you Ciccarellis, for giving me a fix!  And I may get a chance to get another as it seems it's not an official shoot unless I leave a piece of equipment behind. So I'll be back to pick up a lens later this week.  Maybe I'll get a wet lick and a chubby cheeked smile too. But more than likely, I'll just make the dog bark and wake up the baby.  Let me apologize in advance as that I remember too.

Sisters : Burlington, VT

I am lucky to be surrounded by some amazing families. And with my gang of boys, it's a blessing to have some really kick ass girls around.  And these three are some of my (and Sam an Joe's) favorites. They're vibe is a welcome change when all the little boy antics get to be a bit much. Not that they don't have plenty of crazy antics of their own . . . they're just not as loud.

Or violent.

Olivia : Senior Session : Burlington, VT

It's that time of year again, seniors!  This session was shot during a misty morning in Shelburne.  Just lovely.  Thanks Olivia!  You're gorgeous.

Osmonds : Family : Burlington, VT

'Tis the season for family photos!  As soon as the bite enters the air and the leaves begin their transition into autumn glory, the phone starts ringing.  Or rather, the email starts dinging?  Sometimes they're neighbors, as I have a neighborhood special, because it's the neighborly thing to do, and because we're the best looking neighborhood in Burlington.  We had a short shoot at Oakledge because they had somewhere to be.  And oops!  I probably should have been there too.  "Curriculum Night" at the school.  I'm been a little slow getting used to having a kid in "big kid" school.  Honestly, there are so many papers and handouts I get a bit overwhelmed.   Time for a bulletin board perhaps. Well, as you can see we had plenty of time to capture some smiles and loveliness by the lake.   I was afraid I wouldn't be able to share before my own gang heads down to the Outer Banks for our vacation, but here's a little taste.  Really great kids.  So fun!

See you in a week!

Getting a little personal . . .

Things in my house have been turned topsy-turvy. Mostly due to (I can't believe I'm saying this) my little Sam starting Kindergarten. New routines lead to all sorts of fallout. Tantrums, tears . . . zombie-like walking. A result of the all the new tasks, new timelines, and new sleeping schedules. Joe's nap has been completely obliterated. And quite suddenly. And anyone who knows a 3 year old, knows that ain't good.

But, to put a little lipstick on the pig I just painted for you all, allow me to share a bit of the fun stuff. Not sure a lot of you guys know, but I also dabble in video production.  Right now it's mostly just personal projects, though I do branch out a bit.   I shot and edited this of the Summer leading up to Sam's big first day of school.  I chose to open with a shot of him waking up on this momentous day, and then flashes back to the beginning of the summer with a shot of his preschool graduation  . . . and onward.

I hope you enjoy the journey as much as we did!
